A Little More About Tim
Long before he was an educator, professional speaker, published playwright, husband and father, Tim was an undiagnosed hyper-active dyslexic rug rat from a small town outside Chicago. From this environment was cultivated a deep passion for teaching, writing and presenting. By 24, Tim was a college educator and coaching a nationally-recognized speech team, all while training at Improv Olympic, Second City and performing stand-up comedy in Chicago. After a decade of little sleep and endless experience, Tim found his voice as a nationally touring comedian—opening for the likes of Jerry Seinfeld, Steven Wright, and Larry Miller, to namedrop a few—and his stand up can be seen and heard on YouTube and SiriusXM satellite radio. Tim later shifted his focus back to writing and developing; one of his stage plays, Leaving Iowa, premiered at Jeff Daniels’ Purple Rose Theatre Company—during which it received a nomination for American Theatre Critics’ award for Best New Play in the country—was soon published and is continuously performed in theaters all over the U.S. and Canada. Now Tim has brought to bear all his experiences from his years as an educator, improv and decades of headlining comedy stages, and he has synthesized his calling as a Humorous Motivational Speaker and Corporate Entertainer. We offer continuing education (CE) credits recognized through the Academy of General Dentistry’s PACE program. For each hour of classes that you attend, one hour of CE credit will be earned. Please review the Class Schedule tab above to plan your entire schedule and earn as many credits as possible.
National PACE Provider
Cloud 9 Software is a National PACE Provider through the Academy of General Dentistry! Your class attendance qualifies you to receive one (1) Continuing Education Credit for each hour of classes you attend. No partial hours are eligible.
You can use your smartphone to sign into your session and complete a Class Evaluation. When you arrive at your class, simply:

- Enter your name, and click the Submit button.
That’s it; your attendance is registered.

Phyllis is the Director of Training for Cloud9 and has been in the orthodontic industry for over 35 years. She obtained her RDA/CDA and was Clinical Supervisor in an orthodontic practice. She quickly moved into the Treatment Coordinator/Financial Coordinator/Office Manager position while she was there. She has been a member of the training team at Dolphin Imaging and a Senior Consultant at Peniche & Associates Management Consulting Group. She joined Cloud 9 in June of 2017.
Marci has over 14 years of experience in the orthodontic field. While working chair side in private practices, her additional tasks included sterilization, patient education, managing supplies, marketing, and treatment coordinator. Her interest in training peaked after speaking to a group of dental assistant students about the specialty field of orthodontics. She is an experienced user of Cloud 9 Software since beta testing and has been part of the Cloud 9 Software training team since February 2015.
Alex has 5 years of orthodontic experience. He has held many positions in an orthodontic practice, which includes sterilization specialist, records clinician, assistant, front office, financials, and Treatment Coordinator. He has also been the main IT resource for his practice. Alex joined Cloud 9 Software as an instructor in July 2014.
Tonya has 22 years experience in the field of General & Pediatric Dentistry. While working in both the Clinic and Front office of General & Pediatric Dentistry, Tonya most enjoyed being the team lead in a Pediatric Dental office. As a Practice Administrator for over 12 years she was involved with the daily tasks that included both patient care and practice growth. Tonya brings to Cloud 9 her experience of the daily workflow of the dental office. Tonya has been with Cloud 9 since February of 2017.
Mary Beth Heidt
Mary Beth has seven years of experience in the orthodontic industry. She is a certified clinical assistant and worked chairside for five years. She became cross-trained and worked as a treatment coordinator, insurance coordinator, and marketing coordinator. She has been an instructor with Cloud 9 since June of 2017.
Mel has worked in the orthodontic field since 1993. She started out as a financial coordinator in St. Louis and then managed an orthodontic practice in San Antonio. After moving to Nashville, she shifted gears and began training for an orthodontic software company. She has been an instructor for Cloud9 since 2013.
Germayne is an 18-year veteran in the orthodontic field. She began her career working at the UNC Dental School advancing quickly to work in the orthodontic department under the supervision of Dr. William Proffit. After six years, she left the dental school and began working in private practice. During that time she helped start up several orthodontic practices and managed the staff of 8 orthodontic offices. She has been an instructor for Cloud 9 Software since 2013.
Kevin manages the Software Releases of Cloud 9 Software. He joined Cloud 9 in 2011 and supervised a team of eight employees. Prior to joining Cloud 9, he spent 5 years in banking and has over 11 total years in the customer service industry.
Jessica has been in the Dental field for 9 years, is a certified Orthodontic assistant, certified EFDA, also certified in radiology and infection control. Her experience in Chairside assisting opened up multiple opportunities within the Orthodontic/Pediatric Dental field. Jessica is a Cloud9 Certified Trainer, who joined Cloud9 in 2017. Her chief responsibilities include managing all the logistics surrounding Orthodontic/Pediatric Software training at Cloud9 including class roster management, pre-class confirmations, courseware, completion certificates, and additional items included as part of course delivery. She brings her own experience, incorporates her existing knowledge and experiences to the training classroom to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
Angela has more than 20 years of experience in the orthodontic industry. Before the orthodontic world, she was tackling banking and finance as a senior marketing analyst, and also managed the mystery shopping program for major retail banks. Angela started with OPMS as a practice management trainer, then moved into imaging and ceph training. She harmonized her ceph training with also being an extraoral x-ray trainer. Angela is Green Belt certified in quality practices and likes to apply the quality theory to everyday tasks. Angela began with Cloud 9 in December 2017.
