The cost efficiency of using a “true” cloud based system was the primary driver for switching to the Cloud9Ortho system.  The equipment cost savings of eliminating a server-based system was significant.  When you realize that each workstation is connected to the software & data in the “cloud” & that you are no longer concerned about time consuming software upgrades, data backup & the inevitable on-site IT expense, the savings are even more substantial. I personally also saved an additional $4,000-5,000 by using my own laptop attached to a monitor at each location & my home office, which eliminated the cost of 3 additional workstations.
