Dr. Richard Williams has been using Cloud9Ortho for two years and gives us his thoughts on Cloud9Ortho as a company, as a product and as a tool in his practice!
HOW HAS USING CLOUD 9 ORTHO CHANGED YOUR PRACTICE?
We have totally changed how we manage a 2 doctor 2 office practice since we added Cloud9 as a management tool. We made the choice to go with Cloud 9 for two reasons. First, we needed to be able to manage two offices simultaneously and Cloud9 provided a way for us to do that economically (without having to purchase servers and multiple T1 lines to make the offices communicate). We also felt comfortable with Cloud9 because of the team behind it. I knew we could trust Cloud9Ortho with the future of our practice. We also knew that moving toward two offices would require access to patient records from multiple locations. We very quickly made the move to go digital with our patient records and again Cloud9 provided a solution because our records live on the cloud and do not reside in our office any longer. I/we can literally access our records from anywhere we have internet access including our smart phones. That allows for us to more easily manage emergencies with the knowledge we need.
Cloud 9 allows for Nathan and I to diagnose and treatment plan by phone looking at the same record from different locations at the same time. That just makes us more efficient.
First, there hasn’t been a huge need for support other than to help us understand how to use Cloud9 more effectively. When we have had a need to call, we either speak to someone on the call we just initiated or receive a call back within just a few minutes to assist us with our issue (which we are usually the ones who have created it to begin with). Kevin and the rest of the crew are extremely knowledgeable of the product and have listened when we have made suggestions to make Cloud9 better. We have never had an issue that did not get resolved within the day.
I know that we have saved a significant amount of dollars on equipment purchases. Our equipment was old when we converted and we very shortly began to replace computers incrementally rather than all at once. This has allowed us to phase the expense and budget it over time as opposed to affecting cash flow in one large amount. We also can buy stock computers rather than an expensive server with the necessary software and ongoing licensing fees to run C9. Our internet is business class cable at one office and an ATT internet product at the other. These have been adequate and much less cost than a T1 line.
It was not much of a risk to move to the cloud with the team behind Cloud9Ortho. You have continued moving forward with the team you have assembled and I have every confidence you will dominate the cloud based management products in the future because of your determination to have the very best management software on the market. I would without reservation recommend Cloud9 to anyone considering a management software purchase.
